When your children have temporarily exhausted building cities in the sand
and mastered the high seas, Agistri has other options for parents anxious
to keep them occupied, and keen to remain relaxed themselves.
Both
Milos and Skala have designated playgrounds with plenty to climb, spin
around and swing on.
The Milos playground can be found in a quiet street off the coastal road
and Skala playground can be discovered down a little lane behind the central
crossroads which lead into the town.
New this year is Anna’s Soft Play area which is conveniently
situated next to Anna’s Cafe, adjacent to the pharmacy in Skala. Filled
with an exciting range of brightly coloured inflatable toys on Astroturf,
parents can savour a peaceful cup of something while their children run off
excess energy in a perfectly safe environment.
Skala also had the opening of a Mini Golf course during the 2007 summer
season. Keen
golfers can have a miniature game to keep their hand in and maybe the kids
will outdo the parents in this great for ages course.
Agistri’s Open Air Cinema is open in the height of the season and runs
programmes of the latest films which are both suitable for children and adults.
Set above the bakery in Skala, the cinema also has a full range of movie
style refreshments.
Children are a key part of the culture of Greece and, as such, this makes
it a perfect destination for families where the stresses of daily life are
washed away in the gentle sea and children are welcomed everywhere as part
of the gang!
