AGISTRI ISLAND
Adventure or relaxation, the Greek island of Agistri,
located just 45 minutes from the Athens’ port of Piraeus, is the smallest
of the Saronic Gulf group of islands but the premier choice for a unique
holiday experience. This little pine covered hideaway of about 14 square
kilometres, is packed with things to do and quiet places to re-charge the
batteries.
Its largely unspoilt atmosphere is supported by every modern convenience in its
wealth of hotels, apartments and studios.
Scan our official
guide of where to stay on the island and you will find the ideal accommodation
to suit your needs.
Check out our shopping centre and you will see we have
a shop for every holiday need! From supermarkets,
souvenir shops, places to buy that extra bikini, suntan lotion and postcards
for home. The
island has a pharmacy and a resident doctor. You can also hire
bicycles and mopeds – or take our local bus – for outbound excursions
around the island.
The main towns boast tavernas, restaurants, bars and cafes to cater for all
entertainment tastes – from party nights in buzzing bars to quieter
nights in romantic spots. The food on Agistri is top rate and famous
for its fresh produce and blending of the traditional with international
dishes. Children are welcome everywhere and their food needs always met!
Explore Skala, Skliri, Milos and Limenaria. Experience Aponissos and Dragonera.
Soak up the fragrance of the wild herbs and flowers which grow in Agistri’s
famous pine hills. Walk the sign posted trails and glory in the stunning
views.
Offering numerous beaches to suit all levels of swimmers and sunbathers from
the toddler to the expert, from hidden coves to stretches of golden sand, gently
shelving into the blue, blue sea, Agistri is the perfect holiday destination
as its many visitors who return year after year will testify.
